The Bixby Necklace

This was the piece from the kitchen table, the turquoise drop made the week of the Big Sur drive, named for the bridge where the light did something unrepeatable to the water. It sold to a woman in Ojai who wrote later that she wears it every day and tells the story to anyone who asks. That letter is pinned above the bench. Every piece since owes something to this one.
