Each Aubretta chapter begins somewhere: a place, a memory, a person, a moment, a feeling. From there come the pieces, made to carry a little of that story forward.

For years, I dreamed about coming back to jewelry. I just couldn't find a way to choose the dream over the security of the life I'd built.
Then I was laid off.
What should have felt like an ending felt strangely like an invitation.
The layoff didn't create the dream. It created the opening.

The stones, silver and gold in Aubretta's first collection have a history. Some have traveled with me for more than fifteen years, tucked away in boxes as jewelry took a backseat to life, motherhood, careers, moves and everything in between.
