The Story
Before Aubretta had a name, there was a drive: Highway 1 through Big Sur, pulled over at Bixby Bridge because the light was doing something unrepeatable to the water. The first piece was made that week at a kitchen table, a turquoise drop on a gold chain, trying to keep that color. This piece is from the same bench and the same season, page one of Chapter 01. Every collection since is a chapter.
